MCR designed a dynamic retail market eatery by transforming an empty, banal commercial unit into a vibrant space that honours the brand’s rich history. Drawing inspiration from the Italian piazza and southern Italian vernacular, the design reimagines the marketplace with colours and finishes that reflect its cultural roots. The project encompassed full interior design, project management, and creative branding to bring the vision to life.

Key features included custom millwork, specialized equipment, refrigeration units, and a bespoke cheese-aging system, all tailored specifically to the space. MCR also oversaw the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support the new program. By reimagining the layout and identity, MCR delivered a cohesive, functional space that embodies the brand’s ethos while staying true to the studio’s design philosophy.
